CSS Foyer Festival of the Arts a Success

Some great sketches of our live models. Thanks to our staff and students for your participation. You all displayed your talents.

Friday we concluded with some students sharing their musical talents utilizing our grand piano. This was fantastic!

Some Slam Poetry presented was exceptional. Some of our students will be performing their works at "The Spoken Word" next Thursday and Friday, at Rockwood.
We also had some of Ms. Marsh's Textiles students sharing their work. The models did a great job displaying this.

Thanks again to Ms. Charters, Ms. Beardsworth and Mr. Millican for spearheading this week of arts excellence! Bravo.

Rugby Boys @ Pender & Manhunt

Mr. Scarr forwarded this picture of his rugby boys who were getting away from the lightening in Pender Harbour last week. From all I heard the boys really enjoyed playing in the rain!
Manhunt is a fun activity played in some of our Grade 8 and 9 PE classes.  These two young ladies were dressed in Manhunt garb prior to their game.  It looks like they are having some fun!

He brought his message of the Bystander Approach which addresses the peer culture around norms around domestic and sexual violence. He challenged the audience to raise the bar and feels that we need to refuse to be silent when things are being said or inappropriate actions are seen.  He is working with a community group to develop a mentoring program to address this important societal issue.
