CSS Juvenile Boys' Basketball @ ESS Tournament

The CSS Juvenile Boys' Basketball played an outstanding game in a close loss to the host Cougars at their  ESS Tournament. Congratulations to boys on their efforts.  The Eagles were led by their game MVP, Josh Stelter who scored a season high 24 points. Tyson Dube knocked in 11 points, while Mason Struck was impressive defensively and added 9 points. Defensively Lucas G. played his best game of the season, as did Austin E-B and Brennan N.

Great job by Coach Kurt Heidebrecht and the rest of the team who participated in the tournament.

Farewell to SD 46 International Students & Grade 8 Textiles Projects

Friday evening there was a small gathering to recognize our international students who will be returning home prior to the 2nd semester.  We appreciate the gifts that they share when they come to Canada and Chatelech SS is fortunate to have so many great international students. Good luck to those of you returning to your homeland.
The Textiles 8 flannel pj shorts are displayed by some of our finest! Well done.

Chatelech Ski & Snowboard Team off to a Great Start

The Chatelech Ski and Snowboard Team is off to a great start this season, competing in two races in the North Shore League.  Racing up at Whistler this past weekend, Gabe Crudele won first place in boys snowboarding, and Callum Rive secured second place. Levi Pearl scored sixth in his first race of the year, and Jasper Deasey placed sixth in the second race.  In girls snowboarding, Pearl Deasey won second place, Maddy Talbot-Kelly placed fourth, and Finola Fogarty won fifth place.
Ingrid Bryson, a veteran on the team, won second place in girls skiing, and Teal Randall placed eighth.  One of the team's newest members, Jasper Mabey, thrilled the crowd by placing second in boys skiing, and Jason Fournier secured eighth place.
The Chatelech team has a long history of success, and won the North Shore Finals last year.  All the team members deserve recognition for their dedication to the team, and for their team spirit.
